The most valuable asset we\u2019ll ever have is what is invested into our faith journey, namely, everything we invest in our hearts and minds through learning. After all, we want to<strong>&nbsp;be and live in favor with God in this world, <\/strong>don&#8217;t we?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-z1lu4179\">\u6211\u5011\u7d55\u5c0d\u90fd\u6703\u8a8d\u540c\uff1a\u5b78\u7fd2\u662f\u6c38\u7121\u6b62\u5883\u7684, \u5373\u4f7f\u5c0d\u795e\u7684\u5b50\u6c11\u4f86\u8aaa\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u6a23\u7684\u3002\u6211\u5011\u6240\u64c1\u6709\u6700\u5bf6\u8cb4\u7684\u8cc7\u7522\uff0c\u5c31\u662f\u6211\u5011\u85c9\u8457\u5b78\u7fd2\uff0c\u5728\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e0a\u7684\u6295\u8cc7\uff0c\u4e5f\u65e2\u662f\u5728\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5fc3\u601d\u610f\u5ff5\u88e1\u6240\u6295\u8cc7\u7684\u4e00\u5207\u3002\u7d42\u6b78\u3001\u4e0d\u5c31\u662f\u70ba\u4e86<strong>\u5728\u9019\u4e16\u9593\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u80fd\u6d3b\u51fa\u8499\u795e\u6069\u5178\u7684\u751f\u547d<\/strong>\uff0c\u4e0d\u662f\u55ce\uff1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-3pugd184\">Our investments can be done consciously or unconsciously; they may occur strategically or spontaneously. We may discover that everything we invest is constantly filtered by God&#8217;s will and precepts. We may also notice that God only withholds whatever is intended for the ultimate fulfillment of God\u2019s kingdom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-k37dd186\">\u6211\u5011\u5c0d\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7684\u6295\u8cc7\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u662f\u6709\u610f\u8b58\u6027\u5730\u53bb\u505a\u3001\u6216\u8005\u662f\u5728\u7121\u610f\u8b58\u6027\u4e2d\u767c\u751f\u3002\u4e5f\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u5728\u7b56\u7565\u4e2d\u4f86\u57f7\u884c\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u81ea\u7136\u800c\u7136\u7684\u5c31\u767c\u751f\u4e86\u3002\u6211\u5011\u4e5f\u8a31\u767c\u73fe\u4e86\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u6240\u6295\u5165\u7684\u4e00\u5207\uff0c\u5fc5\u5b9a\u6703\u5728\u795e\u7684\u6e96\u5247\u548c\u65e8\u610f\u4e0b\uff0c\u7d93\u904e\u4e0d\u65b7\u7684\u904e\u6ffe\u548c\u7be9\u9078\u3002\u56e0\u70ba\uff0c\u6700\u7d42\u795e\u7684\u570b\u5ea6\u5b8c\u5168\u5be6\u73fe\u7684\u9019\u4ef6\u4e8b\uff0c\u662f\u6700\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u3002\u81ea\u7136\u800c\u7136\uff0c\u795e\u53ea\u6703\u7559\u4f4f\uff0c\u5c0d\u795e\u570b\u6709\u5e6b\u52a9\u4e14\u6709\u610f\u7fa9\u7684\u4e00\u5207\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u6295\u8cc7\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-iiyio189\"><strong>What are your experiences of being and living in favor with God? <\/strong>One of my personal experiences happened between 1999 to 2001. Several unexpected things happened. First, my husband and I lost our second child while we were serving on a mission in Mexico. Then my father got scammed and lost all he had, including the house where my mom lived in Taiwan. After that, my dad got into a car accident and his brain was severely damaged. In the midst of all this, my husband got a new call from the States, which means we had to move again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-fymzi192\"><strong>\u5728\u904e\u53bb\uff0c\u60a8\u66fe\u6709\u904e\u54ea\u4e9b\u8499\u795e\u6069\u5178\u7684\u7d93\u6b77\u5462\uff1f<\/strong>\u60f3\u8207\u60a8\u5011\u5206\u4eab\u7684\uff0c\u662f\u6211\u500b\u4eba\u7684\u7d93\u9a57\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u57281999\u5e74\u52302001\u5e74\u7684\u90a3\u6bb5\u5176\u9593\uff0c\u767c\u751f\u4e86\u4e00\u9023\u4e32\u7684\u4e8b\u60c5\u3002\u9996\u5148\uff0c\u6211\u5148\u751f\u548c\u6211\u5728\u58a8\u897f\u54e5\u7267\u6703\u6642\uff0c\u5931\u53bb\u4e86\u6211\u5011\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\u500b\u5b69\u5b50\u3002\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u7684\u7236\u89aa\u88ab\u8a50\u9a19\u4e86\uff0c\u5931\u53bb\u4e86\u4ed6\u6240\u6709\u7684\u4e00\u5207\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u6211\u5abd\u5abd\u5728\u53f0\u7063\u4f4f\u7684\u623f\u5b50\u3002\u5f8c\u4f86\uff0c\u6211\u7238\u7238\u51fa\u4e86\u8eca\u798d\uff0c\u5927\u8166\u53d7\u5230\u56b4\u91cd\u7684\u50b7\u5bb3\u3002\u5c31\u5728\u9019\u4e00\u5207\u4e8b\u4ef6\u767c\u751f\u7684\u7576\u4e0b\uff0c\u6211\u5148\u751f\u63a5\u5230\u4e86\u5f9e\u7f8e\u570b\u4fe1\u7fa9\u6703\u7e3d\u90e8\u7684\u547c\u53ec\uff0c\u9019\u610f\u5473\u8457\u6211\u5011\u5fc5\u9808\u518d\u6b21\u642c\u5bb6\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-ymh86196\">In order to manage the chaos, my husband responded to his call and moved back to the States. We asked our parents-in-law and my sister-in-law to take care of Sofia, our daughter, who stayed in Mexico. Then, I found jobs in Taiwan and got our house back with a loan so that my mom had a place to stay. For more than a year, we were living apart in three different countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-xrk7h198\">\u9762\u81e8\u9019\u7a2e\u7a2e\u7684\u8907\u96dc\u60c5\u6cc1\uff0c\u6211\u5148\u751f\u63a5\u53d7\u4e86\u9019\u500b\u65b0\u7684\u547c\u53ec\uff0c\u642c\u56de\u4e86\u7f8e\u570b\u7267\u6703\u3002\u6211\u5011\u8acb\u516c\u5a46\u548c\u5ac2\u5ac2\u7167\u9867\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5973\u5152\u7d22\u83f2\u4e9e\uff0c\u5c07\u5979\u5148\u7559\u5728\u58a8\u897f\u54e5\u3002\u7136\u5f8c\u6211\u5728\u53f0\u7063\u627e\u5230\u4e86\u5de5\u4f5c\uff0c\u7528\u8cb8\u6b3e\u628a\u623f\u5b50\u518d\u8cb7\u56de\u4f86\uff0c\u8b93\u6211\u5abd\u5abd\u6709\u5730\u65b9\u4f4f\u3002\u63a5\u4e0b\u4f86\u4e00\u5e74\u591a\u7684\u6642\u9593\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4e09\u4eba\u5206\u5225\u4f4f\u5728\u4e09\u500b\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u570b\u5bb6\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-u79gr201\">I talked to God daily, or precisely speaking, I talked to God any break I got while juggling multiple jobs at the same time. In my prayers, I was making sure that God heard my cry, <strong>\u201cO, God, please snap me out of this messiness.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp; What really comforted me was savoring the moment with God fully among all believers on Sunday at church. That kept me going. And the response I got each week from God was that this messiness was precisely the reason God wanted me to be in. <strong>And what did staying in the messiness have to do with being in favor with God?<\/strong>&nbsp; Did I really get it at the time? No!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-118l7207\">\u6211\u6bcf\u5929\u90fd\u8207\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8ac7\u8a71\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u66f4\u6e96\u78ba\u5730\u8aaa\uff0c\u5728\u8655\u7406\u591a\u9805\u5de5\u4f5c\u4e4b\u9918\uff0c\u6211\u6bcf\u5929\u5e7e\u4e4e\u90fd\u5728\u7948\u79b1\u3002\u5728\u6211\u7684\u79b1\u544a\u4e2d\uff0c\u6211\u78ba\u4fdd\u4e0a\u5e1d\uff0c\u4e00\u5b9a\u5f97\u807d\u5230\u6211\u7684\u547c\u6c42\uff1a<strong>\u300c\u54e6\uff0c\u4e0a\u5e1d\uff0c\u8acb\u8b93\u6211\u64fa\u812b\u9019\u4e9b\u8655\u7406\u4e0d\u5b8c\u7684\u8907\u96dc\u60c5\u6cc1\u3002\u300d<\/strong>\u771f\u6b63\u80fd\u5b89\u6170\u6211\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u6bcf\u5468\u65e5\u5728\u6559\u5802\uff0c\u8207\u6240\u6709\u4fe1\u5f92\u5011\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u5145\u5206\u4eab\u53d7\u8207\u4e0a\u5e1d\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\u7684\u6642\u523b\u3002\u662f\u9019\u4e9b\u6642\u523b\u4f7f\u6211\u6709\u52d5\u529b\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5f80\u524d\u8d70\u3002\u6211\u6bcf\u9031\u5f9e\u4e0a\u5e1d\u90a3\u88e1\u5f97\u5230\u7684\u56de\u61c9\u662f\uff1a\u5c31\u56e0\u70ba\u9019\u7a2e\u8907\u96dc\u7684\u60c5\u6cc1\uff0c\u6b63\u662f\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8981\u6211\u5f85\u5728\u53f0\u7063\u7684\u539f\u56e0\u3002\u90a3\u9ebc\uff0c<strong>\u6211\u7559\u5728\u9019\u8907\u96dc\u7684\u72c0\u6cc1\u8207\u8499\u795e\u6069\u5178\uff0c\u6709\u4ec0\u9ebc\u95dc\u4fc2\u5462\uff1f<\/strong>&nbsp;\u6211\u7576\u6642\uff0c\u771f\u7684\u660e\u767d\u4e86\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u610f\u5ff5\u55ce\uff1f\u4e0d\uff01\u9084\u771f\u6c92\u6709\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-vrnrf214\"><strong>God\u2019s Story:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-avbli217\">I don\u2019t know about you, but I wonder occasionally what Jesus\u2019 disciples were feeling each day being with Jesus, walking from town to town, healing the sick, casting out the demons, caring for the lost souls, urging people to repent by turning back to God wholeheartedly, and teaching the kingdom of God that is before their own eyes already. But what they saw was the endless needs, the messiness in lives. Had they ever hoped that the fulfillment of God\u2019s kingdom could come sooner, or hoped that God could just snap them out of the messiness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-y540r219\">\u6211\u4e0d\u77e5\u9053\uff0c\u60a8\u5011\u662f\u5426\u548c\u6211\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u6211\u5076\u723e\u60f3\u8457\uff0c\u7576\u6642\u9580\u5f92\u5011\u7684\u611f\u53d7\uff0c\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u5462\uff1f\u4ed6\u5011\u6bcf\u5929\u8207\u8036\u7a4c\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\uff0c\u5f9e\u4e00\u500b\u57ce\u93ae\u6b65\u884c\u5230\u53e6\u4e00\u500b\u57ce\u93ae\uff0c\u91ab\u6cbb\u7121\u6578\u7684\u75c5\u4eba\uff0c\u9a45\u8d95\u5404\u7a2e\u7684\u60e1\u9748\uff0c\u95dc\u61f7\u8ff7\u5931\u7684\u9748\u9b42\uff0c\u6566\u4fc3\u4eba\u5011\u6094\u6539\uff0c\u5168\u5fc3\u5168\u610f\u7684\u6b78\u5411\u795e\uff0c\u4e26\u6559\u5c0e\u795e\u7684\u570b\u5df2\u7d93\u5728\u4ed6\u5011\u7576\u4e2d\u4e86\u3002\u4f46\u4ed6\u5011\u6240\u898b\u7684\uff0c\u662f\u7121\u76e1\u7684\u9700\u6c42\uff0c\u8907\u96dc\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u72c0\u6cc1\u3002\u9580\u5f92\u662f\u5426\u8feb\u5207\u5e0c\u671b\u8457\uff0c\u795e\u7684\u570b\u5ea6\u80fd\u65e9\u4e9b\u5b8c\u5168\u5be6\u73fe\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u671f\u76fc\u795e\u80fd\u5426\u5c07\u4ed6\u5011\u5f9e\u9019\u8907\u96dc\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u72c0\u6cc1\u4e2d\u89e3\u6551\u51fa\u4f86\u5462\uff1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-e73n8222\">The texts that are assigned for today are from <strong>Mark 6:30-34 and 53-56.<\/strong>&nbsp;IF we read all of chapter six and the last story of chapter five, we see, first, that having faith in Jesus was lived out by a woman and a foreigner who were sinners in the eyes of the Jews. And we see that Jesus wasn\u2019t welcomed and trusted not just by the religious leaders at the time but also the people from his hometown. Then the messiness continues: the head of John the Baptist was asked as the prize for the sinful lives of the Herod royal family.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-htfve226\">\u4eca\u65e5\u6240\u6307\u5b9a\u7684\u7d93\u6587\uff0c\u662f\u4f86\u81ea<strong>\u99ac\u53ef\u798f\u97f3 6:30-34 \u548c 53-56\u3002<\/strong>\u5982\u679c\u6211\u5011\u8b80\u4e86\u6574\u500b\u7b2c\u516d\u7ae0\u548c\u7b2c\u4e94\u7ae0\u7684\u6700\u5f8c\u4e00\u500b\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u9996\u5148\u770b\u5230\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u5973\u4eba\u548c\u4e00\u500b\u5916\u90a6\u4eba\u5728\u7336\u592a\u4eba\u773c\u4e2d\u90fd\u662f\u7f6a\u4eba\uff0c\u537b\u6d3b\u51fa\u4e86\u5c0d\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u4fe1\u9760\u3002\u6211\u5011\u4e5f\u770b\u5230\u4e86\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u4e0d\u50c5\u4e0d\u53d7\u7576\u6642\u5b97\u6559\u9818\u8896\u7684\u6b61\u8fce\u548c\u4fe1\u4efb\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u53d7\u4ed6\u5bb6\u9109\u4eba\u6c11\u7684\u6b61\u8fce\u548c\u4fe1\u4efb\u3002\u7136\u5f8c\u8907\u96dc\u7684\u72c0\u6cc1\u7e7c\u7e8c\u6301\u7e8c\u8457\uff1a\u65bd\u6d17\u7d04\u7ff0\u7684\u982d\uff0c\u56e0\u5e0c\u5f8b\u738b\u5ba4\u7684\u7f6a\u60e1\uff0c\u5c45\u7136\u88ab\u8981\u6c42\u4f5c\u70ba\u734e\u8cde\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-dv7bz231\">And then we arrive at today\u2019s texts, when Jesus took his disciples to a deserted place to rest. The story skips the feeding of the five thousand. After feeding them, Jesus excused himself to pray alone. Meanwhile, the disciples witnessed how Jesus calmed the storm on the sea. <strong>Ironically, the hearts of Jesus\u2019 disciples were hardened. <\/strong>Did Jesus postpone the mission trip just because of their lack of comprehension of what the mission was about?&nbsp; No!&nbsp; And what did Jesus\u2019 disciples living in the messiness have to do with being in favor with God?&nbsp; Did they really get it at the time? It\u2019s like an old-self actualizes that a new-self is available to be claimed and to have because of Jesus Christ.
