This is the question we discussed in last Wednesday&#8217;s Bible class. Our collective proof is that <strong>we all changed<\/strong>&nbsp;after becoming Christians. We are less self-centered and more approachable, forgiving, gracious, thoughtful, and humble. As a result, we are more joyful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-42loc136\">\u6709\u54ea\u4e9b\u4ee4\u4eba\u4fe1\u670d\u7684\u8b49\u64da\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u8b49\u660e\u795e\u5728\u4f60\u7684\u751f\u547d\u4e2d\u505a\u5de5\u5462\uff1f \u9019\u662f\u6211\u5011\u4e0a\u9031\u4e09\u8056\u7d93\u8ab2\u8a0e\u8ad6\u7684\u5176\u4e2d\u4e00\u500b\u984c\u76ee\u3002 \u6211\u5011\u96c6\u9ad4\u90fd\u540c\u610f\uff0c\u78ba\u5be6\u6709\u770b\u898b\u4ee4\u4eba\u4fe1\u670d\u7684\u8b49\u64da\u3002\u9019\u8b49\u64da\u5c31\u662f\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5728\u6210\u70ba\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u5f8c\u90fd\u6539\u8b8a\u4e86\u3002 \u6211\u5011\u4e0d\u518d\u4ee5\u81ea\u6211\u70ba\u4e2d\u5fc3\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u66f4\u80fd\u5e73\u6613\u8fd1\u4eba\u3001\u66f4\u80fd\u5bec\u5bb9\u3001\u6bd4\u8f03\u80fd\u89aa\u5207\u3001\u9ad4\u8cbc\u3001\u8b19\u865b\u5f85\u4eba\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u800c\u611f\u5230\u559c\u6a02\u8a31\u591a\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-acoqn139\">How do our changes relate to the commandments Jesus has given to us, <strong>love our God and others as ourselves with all our hearts, our minds, our strengths and our souls<\/strong>? We can see our lives have been changed in these 4 areas after becoming Christians: our hearts in terms of our empathy, our minds in terms of our values, our strength in terms of our mental and physical maturity and stability, and our souls in terms of our spiritual growth, our trust in God, and our interactions with people more like little Christs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-4ofog143\">\u6211\u5011\u7684\u6539\u8b8a\u8207\u8036\u7a4c\u6559\u5c0e\u6211\u5011\u7684\u8aa1\u547d\u6709\u751a\u9ebc\u6a23\u7684\u95dc\u4fc2\u5462\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u8981<strong>\u76e1\u5fc3\u3001\u76e1\u6027\u3001\u76e1\u610f\u3001\u76e1\u529b\u7684\u4f86\u611b\u4e3b\uff0c\u4e5f\u611b\u4ed6\u4eba\u6709\u5982\u611b\u81ea\u5df1<\/strong>\uff1f \u6211\u5011\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u5f97\u5230\uff0c\u5728\u751f\u547d\u88e1\u7684\u9019\u56db\u500b\u9818\u57df\u88e1\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u6210\u70ba\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u5f8c\uff0c\u90fd\u6709\u5728\u767c\u751f\u8b8a\u5316\uff1a\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5fc3\u80fd\u5920\u66f4\u9ad4\u6703\u5230\u591a\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u611f\u53d7\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7684\u601d\u60f3\u5728\u50f9\u503c\u89c0\u65b9\u9762\u4e5f\u6709\u6210\u9577\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7684\u7cbe\u529b\u5728\u5fc3\u667a\u548c\u8eab\u9ad4\u5065\u5eb7\u65b9\u9762\uff0c\u66f4\u6210\u719f\u7a69\u5b9a\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7684\u9748\u6027\u751f\u547d\u66f4\u4fe1\u9760\u4e3b\uff0c\u8207\u7942\u4eba\u7684\u4e92\u52d5\u4e5f\u66f4\u50cf\u57fa\u7763\u7684\u6a23\u5f0f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-suw0f148\">We could all easily state how we should act, talk, think, and behave as Christians, but deep inside us, we know that we don&#8217;t change all at once. Sometimes our actions change first before we embrace a certain value; sometimes, our hearts change before we can act our values out.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Most of the time we embrace certain values but it takes time for us to act consistently and sense the joy of doing it.<strong>&nbsp;It isn&#8217;t easy. <\/strong>Paul certainly understands our struggle by saying that he couldn\u2019t do what he wanted in Romans 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-t6z3r157\">\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u53ef\u4ee5\u8f15\u9b06\u5730\u8aaa\u51fa\u8eab\u70ba\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u61c9\u8a72\u5982\u4f55\u884c\u52d5\u3001\u8aaa\u8a71\u3001\u601d\u8003\u548c\u884c\u70ba\uff0c\u4f46\u5728\u6211\u5011\u5167\u5fc3\u6df1\u8655\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u77e5\u9053\u5b83\u5011\u4e0d\u6703\u540c\u4e00\u8d77\u6210\u9577\u6539\u8b8a\u3002 \u6709\u6642\uff0c\u5728\u6211\u5011\u63a5\u53d7\u67d0\u7a2e\u50f9\u503c\u89c0\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5728\u884c\u70ba\u4e0a\u6703\u5148\u505a\u6539\u8b8a\uff1b \u6709\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5fc3\u610f\u5148\u505a\u4e86\u6539\u8b8a\uff0c\u7136\u5f8c\u624d\u53bb\u505a\u6211\u5011\u89ba\u5f97\u5c0d\u7684\u4e8b\u60c5\u3002 \u5927\u591a\u6578\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u6301\u6709\u67d0\u4e9b\u50f9\u503c\u89c0\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u5011\u9700\u8981\u4e00\u4e9b\u6642\u9593\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u990a\u6210\u56fa\u5b9a\u7684\u884c\u70ba\uff0c\u4e26\u800c\u611f\u53d7\u5230\u505a\u9019\u4ef6\u4e8b\u7684\u6a02\u8da3\u3002 <strong>\u9019\u662f\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e0d\u5bb9\u6613\u7684\u4e8b\u3002 <\/strong>\u4fdd\u7f85\u7576\u7136\u7406\u89e3\u6211\u5011\u7684\u6399\u624e\uff0c\u4ed6\u5728\u7f85\u99ac\u66f8\u7b2c\u4e03\u7ae0\u8aaa\u5230\uff0c\u4ed6\u7121\u6cd5\u53bb\u505a\u4ed6\u60f3\u505a\u7684\u4e8b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-0246w162\">I&#8217;d like to share with you a testimony I saw on YouTube. Eric, an immigrant from Malaysia, said that he resisted Christianity for years because he was told that all non-believers would go to hell. Because of this statement, Eric hated Christianity to the point that he gathered his friends to attend the Christian fellowship, ate the food they provided, but didn\u2019t buy into anything they shared about Jesus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-584kd164\">\u8207\u5927\u5bb6\u5206\u4eab\u6211\u5728 YouTube \u4e0a\u770b\u5230\u7684\u4e00\u500b\u898b\u8b49\u3002\u662f \u4f86\u81ea\u99ac\u4f86\u897f\u4e9e\u7684\u4e00\u4f4d\u79fb\u6c11\uff0c\u53eb\u505a\u827e\u745e\u514b\uff0c\u4ed6\u591a\u5e74\u4f86\u4e00\u76f4\u5728\u62b5\u5236\u57fa\u7763\u6559\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u6709\u4eba\u544a\u8a34\u4ed6\uff0c\u6240\u6709\u975e\u4fe1\u5f92\u90fd\u6703\u4e0b\u5730\u7344\u3002 \u7531\u65bc\u9019\u53e5\u8a71\uff0c\u827e\u745e\u514b\u8a0e\u53ad\u57fa\u7763\u6559\uff0c\u8a0e\u53ad\u5230\u751a\u9ebc\u7a0b\u5ea6\u5462? \u4ed6\u5c07\u670b\u53cb\u805a\u96c6\u8d77\u4f86\uff0c\u4e00\u8d77\u53c3\u52a0\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u60e0\u7684\u5718\u5951\uff0c\u5403\u4e86\u4ed6\u5011\u63d0\u4f9b\u7684\u98df\u7269\uff0c\u4f46\u4e0d\u76f8\u4fe1\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u5011\u6240\u5206\u4eab\u6709\u95dc\uff0c\u8207\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u4efb\u4f55\u4e8b\u60c5\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-u0f3h169\">One day, Eric had to visit a church because his son got an invitation from their neighbor. After listening to the sermon, he realized that Christianity was not all about going to heaven but making the world a better place. Then he was determined to become<strong>&nbsp;a true Christian<\/strong>&nbsp;so he went to talk to the pastor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-u2xbt173\">\u6709\u4e00\u5929\uff0c\u827e\u745e\u514b\u4e0d\u5f97\u4e0d\u53bb\u6559\u5802\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u9130\u5c45\u9080\u8acb\u4ed6\u7684\u5152\u5b50\u4e00\u8d77\u53bb\u6559\u6703\u3002\u90a3\u65e5\uff0c \u807d\u5b8c\u8b1b\u9053\u5f8c\uff0c\u4ed6\u610f\u8b58\u5230\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u4e0d\u53ea\u662f\u5728\u610f\u8981\u4e0a\u5929\u5802\u9019\u4ef6\u4e8b\uff0c\u4e5f\u975e\u5e38\u5728\u610f\u8981\u8b93\u4e16\u754c\u8b8a\u5f97\u66f4\u7f8e\u597d\u3002 \u7136\u5f8c\u4ed6\u6c7a\u5fc3\u6210\u70ba<strong>\u4e00\u4f4d\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u5f92<\/strong>\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4ed6\u53bb\u548c\u7267\u5e2b\u4ea4\u8ac7\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-w4j90178\">To summarize, the pastor told him two sentences that changed his life. The pastor said to him true Christians will let people see God through them and bring heaven down to the earth now. The only way to become a true Christian is through having the experience of serving others out of love. Isn\u2019t that what Jesus said in John 13:34-35 that if we love one another just as Jesus has loved us, and by this all people will know that we are his disciples?&nbsp; Eric said it is easy to let people see him, <strong>but enabling people to see God through him wasn&#8217;t easy.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-2enhp181\">\u9577\u8a71\u77ed\u8aaa\u827e\u745e\u514b\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u7267\u5e2b\u544a\u8a34\u4ed6\u7684\u5169\u53e5\u8a71\uff0c\u6539\u8b8a\u4e86\u4ed6\u7684\u4e00\u751f\u3002 \u7267\u5e2b\u5c0d\u4ed6\u8aaa\uff0c\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u6703\u8b93\u4eba\u5011\u900f\u904e\u4ed6\u5011\uff0c\u4f86\u770b\u898b\u4e0a\u5e1d\uff0c\u4e26\u5c07\u5929\u5802\u5e36\u5230\u5730\u4e0a\u3002 \u6210\u70ba\u771f\u6b63\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u7684\u552f\u4e00\u9014\u5f91\uff0c\u662f\u8981\u6709\u7d93\u6b77\u904e\u51fa\u65bc\u611b\u4f86\u670d\u4e8b\u4ed6\u4eba\u7684\u7d93\u9a57\u3002 \u8036\u7a4c\u5728\u7d04\u7ff0\u798f\u97f3 13:34-35 \u4e0d\u662f\u4e5f\u8aaa\u5230\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u82e5\u5f7c\u6b64\u76f8\u611b\uff0c\u6b63\u5982\u8036\u7a4c\u611b\u6211\u5011\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u9019\u6a23\u773e\u4eba\u5c31\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u5011\u662f\u7942\u7684\u9580\u5f92\u4e86\uff1f \u827e\u745e\u514b\u8aaa\uff0c\u8b93\u4eba\u5011\u770b\u5230\u4ed6\u81ea\u5df1\u5f88\u5bb9\u6613\uff0c<strong>\u4f46\u8b93\u4eba\u5011\u900f\u904e\u4ed6\u770b\u5230\u4e0a\u5e1d\u537b\u662f\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e0d\u5bb9\u6613\u7684\u4e8b<\/strong>\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-cv5ba186\">The good news is that it&#8217;s not only St. Paul who knows it isn\u2019t easy, Jesus also knows it isn\u2019t easy. That\u2019s why he sent the Holy Spirit as the <strong>advocate <\/strong>to assist us. What comes to your mind when you think of \u2018the Holy Spirit\u2019? The first word that comes to me is <strong>rejuvenating<\/strong>. Some would say the Holy Spirit wants to convert the Word of God into transformed personalities, and impute them into our lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-va0es189\">\u597d\u6d88\u606f\u662f\uff0c\u4e0d\u53ea\u662f\u8056\u4fdd\u7f85\u77e5\u9053\u9019\u662f\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e0d\u5bb9\u6613\u7684\u4e8b\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u4e5f\u77e5\u9053\u9019\u662f\u4e00\u4ef6\u4e0d\u5bb9\u6613\u7684\u4e8b\u3002 \u9019\u5c31\u662f\u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\u7942\u5dee\u9063\u8056\u9748\u4f5c\u70ba<strong>\u4e2d\u4fdd<\/strong>\u4f86\u5e6b\u52a9\u6211\u5011\u3002 \u7576\u4f60\u60f3\u5230\u300c\u8056\u9748\u300d\u6642\uff0c\u4f60\u6703\u60f3\u5230\u4ec0\u9ebc\uff1f \u6211\u60f3\u5230\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u500b\u8a5e\u5f59\u662f\uff0c<strong>\u5177\u6709\u751f\u547d\u7684\u5fa9\u7526\u6d3b\u529b\u3002<\/strong>&nbsp;\u6709\u4e9b\u4eba\u6703\u8aaa\uff0c\u8056\u9748\u60f3\u8981\u505a\u7684\u4e8b\uff0c\u662f\u5c07\u795e\u7684\u8a71\u8a9e\u8f49\u5316\u70ba\u6709\u86fb\u8b8a\u7684\u4eba\u683c\u3002\u518d\u628a\u9019\u6709\u86fb\u8b8a\u7684\u4eba\u683c\u6ce8\u5165\u5230\u6211\u5011\u751f\u547d\u88e1\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-pb29v197\">What did Jesus say in John 16, the scripture for today, about the purpose of the Holy Spirit? He said that the Holy Spirit will prove the world wrong about <strong>three things: sin, righteousness, and judgment<\/strong>. Why these three things? Remember, to the Jewish religious leaders, Jesus was a sinner, and had no right relationship with God, and should be condemned.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-3mqh3201\">\u95dc\u65bc\u8056\u9748\u7684\u76ee\u7684\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u5728\u7d04\u7ff0\u798f\u97f3 16 \u7ae0\uff08\u4eca\u5929\u7684\u7d93\u6587\uff09\u662f\u600e\u9ebc\u8aaa\u7684\uff1f \u7942\u8aaa\u8056\u9748\u8981\u4f86\u8b49\u660e\uff0c\u4e16\u4eba\u5728\u4e09\u4ef6\u4e8b\u60c5\u4e0a\u662f\u932f\u7684\uff1a<strong>\u7f6a\u3001\u7fa9\u548c\u5be9\u5224\u3002<\/strong> \u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\u662f\u9019\u4e09\u4ef6\u4e8b\u5462\uff1f \u8acb\u8a18\u4f4f\uff0c\u5c0d\u65bc\u7336\u592a\u5b97\u6559\u9818\u8896\u5011\u4f86\u8aaa\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u662f\u4e00\u500b\u7f6a\u4eba\uff0c\u8207\u795e\u6c92\u6709\u6b63\u7fa9\u7684\u95dc\u4fc2\uff0c\u4e14\u61c9\u8a72\u53d7\u5230\u5be9\u5224\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-rxpn9204\">Many people today, like the religious leaders in Jesus Time, also couldn\u2019t see that Jesus was anointed as the Savior by God. They couldn&#8217;t see that he was with God and was God himself. And they were also convinced that Jesus should face the judgment. Actually the judgment Jesus faced was theirs and ours but not his own. He simply accepted the judgment on behalf of humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-58762206\">\u4eca\u5929\u7684\u8a31\u591a\u4eba\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u8036\u7a4c\u6642\u4ee3\u7684\u5b97\u6559\u9818\u8896\u5011\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u4e5f\u770b\u4e0d\u5230\u8036\u7a4c\u662f\u88ab\u795e\u818f\u62b9\u7acb\u70ba\u6211\u5011\u7684\u6551\u4e16\u4e3b\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u770b\u4e0d\u898b\u7942\u8207\u795e\u540c\u5728\uff0c\u4e14\u770b\u51fa\u7942\u5c31\u662f\u795e\uff0c\u4e26\u6c7a\u8b70\u8036\u7a4c\u5fc5\u9808\u9762\u81e8\u5be9\u5224\u3002\u5176\u5be6\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u6240\u9762\u81e8\u7684\u5be9\u5224\u662f\u4ed6\u5011\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u6211\u5011\u7684\u3002 \u4ed6\u53ea\u662f\u4ee3\u8868\u4eba\u985e\u63a5\u53d7\u5be9\u5224\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-h5tva750\">We are the sinners because we don&#8217;t have the right relationships with God and with everything and every living being that He created and entrusted us to care. We are the one who should be condemned for the mess that we created by living a self-centered life, watching broken relationships with God happening without sharing God&#8217;s love and forgiveness. We missed the mark and couldn&#8217;t see the big picture of Christianity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-1o82l52578\">\u6211\u5011\u662f\u7f6a\u4eba\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u6211\u5011\u8207\u4e0a\u5e1d\u4ee5\u53ca\u7942\u5275\u9020\u4e26\u59d4\u8a17\u6211\u5011\u7167\u9867\u7684\u4e00\u5207\u4e8b\u7269\u548c\u6bcf\u4e00\u500b\u751f\u7269\u90fd\u6c92\u6709\u6b63\u78ba\u7684\u95dc\u4fc2\u3002 \u6211\u5011\u61c9\u8a72\u56e0\u6211\u5011\u904e\u8457\u4ee5\u81ea\u6211\u70ba\u4e2d\u5fc3\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u800c\u9020\u6210\u7684\u6df7\u4e82\u800c\u53d7\u5230\u8b74\u8cac\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u770b\u8457\u8207\u795e\u7684\u95dc\u4fc2\u7834\u88c2\u800c\u6c92\u6709\u5206\u4eab\u795e\u7684\u611b\u548c\u5bec\u6055\u3002 \u6211\u5011\u6c92\u6709\u6293\u4f4f\u76ee\u6a19\uff0c\u770b\u4e0d\u5230\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u7684\u5168\u8c8c\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-cpq8x209\">The Spirit has the power to assist our understanding of who Jesus is, what he does, and why he matters, and how he saves. The Spirit has also the power to give life just as we saw how God made the dry hopeless dead bones into a big living army with a sense of hope in Ezekiel. As I said earlier, the Spirit wants to convert the Word of God into transformed personalities for you and me. To name these three powers among many, it is certainly sufficient enough for us to join the movement of God\u2019s mission. Actually, the whole Psalm is a very good one. It is a psalm praising the mighty power of God who creates the universe. The Psalmist sees God through the beautiful nature God has created.
