Seeing Jesus walking on the water toward the boat, Peter wanted to do the same thing &#8211; walk on the water! With the assurance of Jesus\u2019 words, he chose to trust in Jesus and stepped out of the boat where his faith was tested. If you were there, would you have done the same thing as Peter, courageously walking on the water to Jesus who calls you and promises to protect you from sinking?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-2ohnh120\">\u6211\u76f8\u4fe1\u6211\u5011\u5c0d\u5f7c\u5f97\u7684\u9019\u500b\u6545\u4e8b\uff0c\u90fd\u975e\u5e38\u5730\u719f\u6089\u3002\u770b\u5230\u8036\u7a4c\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u8d70\u5411\u8239\u7684\u90a3\u500b\u6642\u523b\uff0c\u5f7c\u5f97\u4e5f\u60f3\u8981\u505a\u540c\u6a23\u7684\u4e8b\u2014\u2014\u8d70\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\uff01\u5f7c\u5f97\u9078\u64c7\u4e86\u76f8\u4fe1\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u6703\u4fdd\u4ed6\u5b89\u5168\uff0c\u4ed6\u628a\u8173\u8de8\u51fa\u4e86\u8239\u5916\u3002\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u958b\u59cb\u8d70\u5411\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u6bcf\u4e00\u6b65\uff0c\u4ed6\u5c0d\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u4e5f\u540c\u6642\u53d7\u5230\u4e86\u8003\u9a57\u3002\u5982\u679c\u662f\u4f60\uff0c\u5728\u8036\u7a4c\u547c\u558a\u4f60\u5411\u7942\u8d70\u53bb\u6642\uff0c\u4f60\u4e5f\u6703\u50cf\u5f7c\u5f97\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u52c7\u6562\u5730\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u8d70\u5411\u8036\u7a4c\u55ce\uff1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-2wkhe122\">By this time, Peter had seen what Jesus could do. He saw how Jesus healed his sick mother-in-law. He also saw how Jesus fed more than 5000 hungry people with only five loaves of bread and two fish. Even so, he was still a new disciple because his faith hadn\u2019t matured yet. His faith needed to be tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-m4gpp124\">\u9019\u500b\u6642\u5019\u7684\u5f7c\u5f97\uff0c\u5df2\u7d93\u898b\u8b58\u904e\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u80fd\u529b\u3002\u4ed6\u770b\u5230\u4e86\u8036\u7a4c\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u91ab\u6cbb\u4ed6\u751f\u75c5\u7684\u5a46\u5a46\u3002\u4ed6\u9084\u89aa\u773c\u770b\u5230\u8036\u7a4c\u662f\u5982\u4f55\u7528\u4e94\u500b\u9905\u548c\u5169\u689d\u9b5a\u5582\u98fd\u4e865000\u591a\u4eba\u3002\u4f46\u662f\uff0c\u4ed6\u4ecd\u7136\u662f\u4e00\u4f4d\u65b0\u7684\u4fe1\u5f92\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u4ed6\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u9084\u4e0d\u5920\u6210\u719f\uff0c\u662f\u9700\u8981\u88ab\u8003\u9a57\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-79yh1126\">While walking on the water toward Jesus, he lost his focus on Jesus and got distracted by unexpected winds. He might not have realized that walking on the water was not so much about being able to do what Jesus did, but rather an opportunity to test his faith. The moment he shifted his focus to the strong wind that created the choppy waters, he couldn\u2019t hold himself together. He didn\u2019t just lose his faith for a moment but also lost himself. Then he began to sink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-bl3a5128\">\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u8d70\u5411\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u6642\u5019\uff0c\u56e0\u70ba\u7a81\u7136\u4f86\u7684\u4e00\u9663\u5f37\u98a8\uff0c\u4f7f\u4ed6\u5206\u5fc3\u4e86\u3002\u4ed6\u53ef\u80fd\u6c92\u6709\u610f\u8b58\u5230\uff0c\u8d70\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u4e26\u4e0d\u50c5\u50c5\u662f\u70ba\u4e86\u80fd\u7d93\u6b77\u5230\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u5927\u80fd\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u5728\u8003\u9a57\u4ed6\u7684\u4fe1\u5fc3\u7684\u6642\u523b\u3002\u7576\u4ed6\u628a\u6ce8\u610f\u529b\u5f9e\u8036\u7a4c\u8eab\u4e0a\uff0c\u8f49\u79fb\u5230\u522e\u8d77\u6ce2\u6d6a\u7684\u5f37\u98a8\u6642\uff0c\u4ed6\u5931\u53bb\u4e86\u5e73\u8861\u3002\u4ed6\u4e0d\u50c5\u5728\u90a3\u4e00\u77ac\u9593\u5931\u53bb\u4e86\u4fe1\u5fc3\uff0c\u9084\u8ff7\u5931\u4e86\u81ea\u5df1\u3002\u7d50\u679c\u662f\uff0c\u4ed6\u958b\u59cb\u5f80\u4e0b\u6c89\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-hj1p5130\">Our faith journey is pretty much like walking on the water. It all begins with confession, which is professing our trust in Jesus. From time to time, we, like Peter, take the courage to step out of our comfort zone and walk to Jesus who has everything under control. What is the only power that can keep our sanity and our safety from any distraction? Our trust in Jesus! With Jesus beside us, we surely can walk our faith journey by grace through faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-fwdqs132\">\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e4b\u65c5\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u4f3c\u8d70\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u4e00\u6a23\u3002\u61fa\u6094\u662f\u8de8\u51fa\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u6b65\u3002\u9019\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u5c0d\u8036\u7a4c\u4fe1\u4efb\u7684\u4e00\u500b\u8868\u614b\u3002\u6211\u5011\u548c\u5f7c\u5f97\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u6642\u5e38\u9700\u8981\u52c7\u6c23\u8d70\u51fa\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u8212\u9069\u5340\uff0c\u8d70\u5411\u90a3\u4e00\u4f4d\u638c\u63e1\u4e00\u5207\u7684\u8036\u7a4c\u3002\u552f\u4e00\u80fd\u4fdd\u6301\u6211\u5011\u7684\u7406\u667a\u53ca\u5b89\u5371\uff0c\u4e14\u4e0d\u5206\u5fc3\u7684\u529b\u91cf\u662f\u4ec0\u9ebc\uff1f\u662f\u6211\u5011\u5c0d\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u4fe1\u4efb\uff01\u5728\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e4b\u65c5\u6709\u4e86\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u966a\u4f34\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7576\u7136\u53ef\u4ee5\u85c9\u8457\u6069\u5178\u548c\u4fe1\u5fc3\u904e\u65e5\u5b50\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-uazu6134\">If thinking of walking on the water as an example of walking our faith journey isn&#8217;t enough, how about thinking of a toddler learning to walk? When a toddler begins learning how to walk, there must be someone or something that the toddler can hold onto and focus on in the process. While steps are not stable yet, any unexpected distraction &#8211; like a car that suddenly passes by or unexpected loud sounds that can scare the toddler &#8211; even can cause a fall. Repeated practices can build up the legs\u2019 muscles just like our faith muscles need to be built up and strengthened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-vidfh136\">\u5982\u679c\u628a\u8d70\u5728\u6c34\u9762\u4e0a\u4f5c\u70ba\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e4b\u65c5\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\u9084\u4e0d\u5920\u7684\u8a71\uff0c\u90a3\u9ebc\u60f3\u60f3\u4e00\u500b\u6b63\u5728\u5b78\u7fd2\u8d70\u8def\u7684\u5e7c\u5152\u5427\uff1f\u5728\u5e7c\u5152\u958b\u59cb\u5b78\u7fd2\u8d70\u8def\u7684\u904e\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u773c\u775b\u6703\u5c08\u6ce8\u65bc\u4ed6\u5011\u80fd\u4fe1\u9760\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u9760\u8fd1\u4e00\u4e9b\u80fd\u7a69\u4f4f\u81ea\u5df1\u5e73\u6046\u7684\u6771\u897f\u3002\u4efb\u4f55\u610f\u5916\u7684\u5e72\u64fe\u2014\u2014\u5982\u7a81\u7136\u5f9e\u8eab\u908a\u7d93\u904e\u7684\u6c7d\u8eca\u6216\u610f\u5916\u7684\u97ff\u8072\uff0c\u7531\u65bc\u9a5a\u5687\uff0c\u90fd\u6703\u4f7f\u8173\u6b65\u4e0d\u7a69\u5b9a\u2014\u2014\u751a\u81f3\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u5c0e\u81f4\u6454\u5012\u3002\u53cd\u5fa9\u7684\u7df4\u7fd2\u53ef\u4ee5\u4f7f\u8173\u90e8\u7684\u808c\u8089\u5f37\u58ef\u6709\u529b\uff0c\u5c31\u6709\u5982\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u808c\u8089\u4e00\u6a23\uff0c\u662f\u8981\u900f\u904e\u6b77\u7df4\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u5065\u58ef\uff0c\u7d93\u5f97\u8d77\u8003\u9a57\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-9rgmu138\">The way of knowing whether our faith muscles are ready is going through tests by stepping out of our own comfort zone and trusting in Jesus. The more our faith muscles are tested, the more mature and strong they become. When our faith becomes mature and strong, we can recognize God\u2019s grace in our lives much easier. Seeing and being grateful to God\u2019s grace more, our capacity to humble ourselves and ask God for help naturally increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-rplph140\">\u60f3\u8981\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u808c\u8089\u662f\u5426\u5df2\u7d93\u8db3\u5920\u5f37\u58ef\uff0c\u597d\u7684\u65b9\u6cd5\u5c31\u662f\u901a\u904e\u6b77\u7df4\uff0c\u6191\u8457\u4fe1\u9760\u8036\u7a4c\uff0c\u8d70\u51fa\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u8212\u9069\u5340\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u808c\u8089\u88ab\u6b77\u7df4\u5f97\u8d8a\u591a\uff0c\u5b83\u5011\u5c31\u8b8a\u5f97\u8d8a\u5f37\u5927\u3002\u7576\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u8b8a\u5f97\u6210\u719f\u548c\u5f37\u5927\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u53ef\u4ee5\u66f4\u5bb9\u6613\u5730\u770b\u898b\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8cdc\u65bc\u6211\u5011\u751f\u6d3b\u4e2d\u7684\u6069\u5178\u3002\u7576\u6211\u8d8a\u80fd\u770b\u5230\u4f86\u81ea\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u6069\u5178\u6642\uff0c\u4e26\u70ba\u5176\u800c\u611f\u6069\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c31\u66f4\u80fd\u5920\u8b19\u5351\u81ea\u5df1\u4f86\u6c42\u4e3b\u5e6b\u5fd9\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-eik60142\">We all know that we can\u2019t avoid distraction or challenges in our faith journey. But can we actually choose when and how we want our faith to be tested? Unfortunately, it can happen either planned or unplanned. What really struck me this time when I read this passage is that we can\u2019t really follow Jesus faithfully and embrace our salvation fully if we don\u2019t even have the courage to walk to Jesus in whom we trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-cu4ky144\">\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u77e5\u9053\u5728\u4fe1\u4ef0\u4e4b\u65c5\u4e2d\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u7121\u6cd5\u907f\u514d\u5e72\u64fe\u6216\u6311\u6230\u3002\u4f46\u6211\u5011\u771f\u7684\u53ef\u4ee5\u9078\u64c7\u4f55\u6642\u4ee5\u53ca\u5982\u4f55\u4f86\u6b77\u7df4\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u55ce\uff1f\u9019\u771f\u4e0d\u80fd\u5982\u6211\u5011\u7684\u610f\uff0c\u6b77\u7df4\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4fe1\u4ef0\u662f\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u8a08\u5283\u4e2d\u767c\u751f\u7684\uff0c\u4f46\u4e5f\u6703\u5728\u672a\u8a08\u5283\u4e2d\u767c\u751f\u3002\u9019\u6b21\u6211\u8b80\u5230\u9019\u6bb5\u7d93\u6587\u6642\uff0c\u8b93\u6211\u5370\u8c61\u6700\u6df1\u523b\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u6211\u5011\u9023\u8d70\u5411\u6211\u5011\u6240\u4fe1\u9760\u7684\u8036\u7a4c\u7684\u52c7\u6c23\u90fd\u6c92\u6709\u7684\u8a71\uff0c\u90a3\u9ebc\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4fbf\u7121\u6cd5\u4fe1\u5be6\u5730\u8ddf\u96a8\u8036\u7a4c\u4e26\u5b8c\u5168\u7684\u63a5\u53d7\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8cdc\u8207\u6211\u5011\u7684\u6551\u6069\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-pwgwd146\">The salvation God gives to us has to do with our trust in God and our relationship with one another. That\u2019s the very reason Jesus gives us the great commandment &#8211; love our God with all our hearts and minds just as we love others while loving ourselves. Relationships are messy but can be amazingly blessed by God. Jesus rescued Peter. And Jesus would also rescue you and me whenever we are in danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-6dqdb148\">\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7d66\u4e88\u6211\u5011\u7684\u6551\u6069\uff0c\u662f\u8207\u6211\u5011\u5c0d\u4e0a\u5e1d\u7684\u4fe1\u9760\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u4eba\u8207\u4eba\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u548c\u8ae7\uff0c\u7fd2\u7fd2\u76f8\u95dc\u7684\u3002\u9019\u4e5f\u5c31\u662f\u70ba\u4ec0\u9ebc\u8036\u7a4c\u7d66\u6211\u5011\u5927\u8aa1\u547d\u7684\u4e3b\u8981\u539f\u56e0\u2014\u2014\u7942\u8981\u6211\u5011\u5168\u5fc3\u5168\u610f\u5730\u611b\u6211\u5011\u7684\u4e0a\u5e1d\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u6211\u5011\u8981\u611b\u81ea\u5df1\uff0c\u4e5f\u4ee5\u7528\u540c\u7406\u5fc3\u53bb\u611b\u5225\u4eba\u3002\u4eba\u8207\u4eba\u4e4b\u9593\u7684\u548c\u7766\u95dc\u4fc2\uff0c\u901a\u5e38\u662f\u5f88\u8907\u96dc\u7684\uff0c\u4f46\u4e0a\u5e1d\u8cdc\u8207\u6211\u5011\u4eba\u9593\u548c\u7766\u7684\u795d\u798f\uff0c\u662f\u5f88\u8c50\u52dd\u9a5a\u4eba\u7684\u3002\u8036\u7a4c\u90a3\u65e5\u62ef\u6551\u4e86\u5f7c\u5f97\u3002\u7576\u6211\u5011\u8655\u65bc\u5371\u96aa\u6642\uff0c\u8036\u7a4c\u4e5f\u6703\u62ef\u6551\u4f60\u548c\u6211\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-f4ste150\">Danger can be of our own making or be caused by others. Any danger like strong winds or choppy water might threaten the wellbeing of not just our physical body but also our mental health or spiritual stability. What are the strong winds or the choppy waters in your life now, or in our life together as a faith community?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-56yuo152\">\u5371\u96aa\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u6211\u5011\u81ea\u5df1\u9020\u6210\u7684\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u4ed6\u4eba\u9020\u6210\u7684\u3002\u4efb\u4f55\u50cf\u4f3c\u5f37\u98a8\u6216\u662f\u6c79\u6e67\u7684\u6ce2\u6d6a\u7684\u5371\u96aa\uff0c\u90fd\u53ef\u80fd\u5a01\u8105\u5230\u4e0d\u6b62\u65bc\u6211\u5011\u8eab\u9ad4\u7684\u5b89\u5eb7\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u6703\u5f71\u97ff\u5230\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5fc3\u7406\u7684\u5065\u5eb7\u548c\u9748\u6027\u4e0a\u7684\u72c0\u614b\u3002\u5728\u4f60\u751f\u6d3b\u4e2d\uff0c\u76ee\u524d\u6709\u4ec0\u9ebc\u5927\u98a8\u5927\u6d6a\u55ce\uff1f\u6216\u8005\u662f\u5728\u6211\u5011\u9019\u500b\u4fe1\u4ef0\u5718\u9ad4\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u4e2d\uff0c\u6709\u751a\u9ebc\u4f7f\u6211\u5011\u5206\u5fc3\u7684\u98a8\u6d6a\u55ce\uff1f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-mizi4154\">Indeed, in our lives, we all face strong winds, choppy water or even turbulent waves from time to time. When unexpected challenges occur, we often don\u2019t find a quick solution or a cookie cutter result. Instead of blaming what\u2019s going on and looking for an easy way out, may we remember Peter\u2019s story. It is totally okay to meet God in our lowest places and in our most miserable situations like the sinking situation Peter faced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-07271156\">\u78ba\u5be6\uff0c\u5728\u6211\u5011\u7684\u751f\u6d3b\u4e2d\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u90fd\u6703\u6642\u4e0d\u6642\u5730\u9762\u81e8\u66b4\u98a8\u3001\u6d30\u6d6a\u751a\u81f3\u6ce2\u6fe4\u6d36\u6e67\u3002\u7576\u610f\u5916\u548c\u56f0\u96e3\u767c\u751f\u6642\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5e38\u5e38\u60f3\u8981\u627e\u5230\u5feb\u901f\u7684\u89e3\u6c7a\u65b9\u6848\u6216\u662f\u671f\u5f85\u4e00\u500b\u7b26\u5408\u6211\u5011\u5fc3\u610f\u7684\u7d50\u679c\u3002\u8207\u5176\u8cac\u602a\u767c\u751f\u7684\u4e8b\u60c5\uff0c\u6216\u662f\u5c0b\u627e\u6377\u5f91\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4e0d\u5982\u8a18\u4f4f\u5f7c\u5f97\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u3002\u5728\u6211\u5011\u6700\u4f4e\u8c37\u548c\u6700\u60b2\u6158\u7684\u60c5\u6cc1\u4e0b\uff0c\u8207\u4e0a\u5e1d\u76f8\u9047\u662f\u4ef6\u597d\u4e8b\uff0c\u5c31\u50cf\u5f7c\u5f97\u6240\u9762\u81e8\u7684\u60c5\u6cc1\uff0c\u662f\u4e00\u6a23\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"viewer-2jgqr158\">What did Jesus say to Peter while he was sinking? Jesus said, \u201cYou of little faith, why did you doubt?\u201d If Peter took an easy way out by putting blame on the strong winds or the choppy water, his faith wouldn\u2019t mature.
